The newest Genshin Impact update features its very own Atlantis. True to form, the Version 2.4 Update is crammed with new content, including a new character and seasonal events to herald the new year.
Enkanomiya is Inazuma’s latest island, only this one is submerged beneath the ocean. The ancient civilisation that once lived there dealt with the lack of a day and night cycle by creating the Dainichi Mikoshi, an artificial sun that players will learn to use in their own quest.
Inevitably, with a new locale comes new threats, which within the dark waters of Enkanomiya take the form of Bathysmal Vishaps. These cunning predators hunt in packs and use the environment around them to their advantage.
To aid in their defeat, however, two new companions have joined the fight, wielding polearms and support abilities. The five-star Shenhe possesses Cryo powers whilst boosting the power of her teammate’s Cryo damage. Her Elemental Skill can also boost the Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst damage of her teammates, as well as Normal, Plunging and Charged Attack damage.
The four-star Yun Jin, meanwhile, owns a Geo Vision, and can buff her teammates’ Normal attacks based on her Defense and the variety of Visions in the player’s party. She will also bring the power of music to the team with opera performances voiced by a bonafide Peking opera artist.
To celebrate the new year, the newest Genshin Impact update will bring the festivities of the Lantern Rite to Liyue Harbor, which will be rife with games, stalls, vendors and other activities. Players can also help to reconstruct Jade Chamber.
Version 2.4 will land on 5th January across all platforms. So be ready to start the new year with a splash and dive into the new underwater adventure.
