There are some truly amazing gaming creations out there, and only you can help us find them.
Amazing Gaming Creations? Feature Them in our Crafty Creations Segment!
Some people have all the talent. While many gamers seek refuge in their favourite video games from the crushing disappointment of their own failures (I'm not projecting, you are), there's still no escaping the omnipresence of the overqualified, as we find example after example of gifted gamers creating some truly stupefying gaming creations and making the rest of us feel bad.
But if we (read: "I") were to quell our envy for just a second, there's no doubt that gaming artisans add a lot of value to our favourite virtual realms. And while games specifically designed to facilitate creativity like Minecraft or Valheim are rife with magnificent mansions that continue to mock my box-with-a-roof style of architecture, sometimes the best creations are found in less likely places.
For example, there is the Elden Ring demake that we didn't know we wanted, but that -shin- recognized as an obvious answer to the vast next-gen beauty of the RPG. Or the time Stardew Valley players traded beets for beats and turned their farms into chiptune festivals, in contrast to how the game is "supposed" to be played.
Then there are the real-world artificers who take their favourite video games and create something that's distinctly more tangible. Like the aesthetically pleasing LEGO recreation of Pokémon's Kanto region, or the bonafide artist who puts a retro cover art spin on modern titles.
Needless to say, the sheer amount of talent out there is hard to keep track of. This is why we would like you, our eagle-eyed readers, to let us know of any Crafty Creations that you may have stumbled upon in the wild - or, better yet, that you created yourself - which you feel should feature in our regular segment praising creative gamers everywhere.
We love shining a light on those that deserve it, and with your help, we can continue to chronicle the most impressive gaming creations out there. So be sure to follow us on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram, and send us a message whenever you find something worth shouting about.
