SK Gaming is joining the long line of charity streams for Ukraine.
Feelgood Friday: SK Gaming Lead Tonight's Charity Streams for Ukraine
As the gaming community rallies together to wield their collective power, charity streams for Ukraine are popping up all over the place and it's warming our hearts. One of the most recent of these is taking place tonight courtesy of elite esports organisation, SK gaming, who are amassing teams of their top-tier e-athletes for a spectacular League of Legends tournament.
From 11pm UTC, four teams comprising pro LoL players and LoL celebrities alike will go toe-to-toe in one of the next charity streams for Ukraine. But to make things extra interesting, each player will be taking on a role that they are not used to. Here's how those teams look:
- Team A
- Treatz
- Chazz
- Vedius
- xMatty
- Dajor
- Team B
- Sertuss
- Practice
- Odoamne
- Shlatan
- Proxyfox
- Team C
- Jenax
- Pabu
- Hiiva
- Zanzarah
- Unforgiven
- Team D
- HiRit
- Kobbe
- Trymbi
- Tifa
- KaSing
The matches will be streamed via the Troubleinc Twitch channel. Needless to say, the broadcast will adopt a lighter tone than usual as it is all in the name of entertainment and gathering all-important donations for an extremely worthy cause. And anyone who wishes to donate ahead of time can do so.
This isn't the first time LoL has been involved in efforts to dole out Ukranian aid, as earlier this month Riot Games donated a week's worth of battle pass sales to humanitarian efforts in the region.
But one of the biggest success stories of gaming initiatives providing aid to Ukraine comes in the form of our previously reported-on Bundle for Ukraine hosted by Necrosoft Games on itch.io. Sales of this incredibly high-value bundle ended today, reaching a grand total of $6.3 million after starting out with a not-so-meagre goal of $1 million. Truly inspiring stuff.
Needless to say, there are plenty of heartwarming efforts emerging from the gaming sphere as gamers rally in support of the beleaguered Ukrainian people.
