A new Crossout faction enters the vehicular action MMO along with many new features.
Post-Apocalyptic Viking Petrol-Heads? Introducing Hyperborea - The New Crossout Faction
A new Crossout faction has joined the fray. Hyperborea has emerged with the Polar Lights update, bringing with them a slew of Norse-themed ordnance hewed from the husks of submarines and icebreakers in the harsh northern reaches of the post apocalypse. Suffice to say they're a real treat for Viking-loving petrolheads.
While the new faction is the star of Crossout's Polar Lights update, the vehicular action MMO is also receiving new content in the form of a Volcano map, an electric new co-pilot, new vehicle parts, and a new custom games system: Game Center.
As if the apocalypse wasn't harsh enough, the hardy Harborea faction comprises a tight-knit community that saw it out in the icy wastes of the north. The forsaken hulls of submarines now form the headquarters, fortresses, and armories of Harborea, as they strip ships of their metal to melt and craft into their impressive array of equipment optimized for the frosty climate.
With them comes a new season of Battle Pass: Polar Lights. This season will feature new Hyperborea parts including the Sleipnir caterpillar tracks that reduce fire damage, and the Munin cockpit which is optimized for drone control. The new season will end on June 7th.
The new Volcano PvP map, once a research station that survived a volcanic eruption, now serves as a graveyard for Harborea's discarded submarines and equipment. This is where players can team-up with Hertz, a young scientist obsessed with experiments with electricity that should pair well with players who favor energy weapons and protective fields.
Finally, for the more fastidious post-apocalyptic drivers, there is the Game Center. This new feature allows players to create their own games with unique conditions including battle duration, the number of rounds, time limits, damage types, map restrictions, permitted vehicle types, and other specifics. Meaning players can curate the perfect conditions in which to make their carefully constructed vehicles reign supreme.
