The Dragonflight pre patch season is upon us, and there’s some exciting new content on the way very soon.
WoW Wednesday: What’s in Store for the Dragonflight Pre Patch?
Things are hotting up in Azeroth as the latest expansion draws ever closer. Now that we have an official release date, it can only mean one thing for the interim: Dragonflight pre patch goodies. And the good news is that the first patch is just one week away.
The Dragonflight pre patch continues the WoW tradition of feeding a few morsels of expansion content ahead of the final release, meaning players can dip their toe into new features instead of jumping in with both feet. The Dragonflight pre patch will be delivered in two phases; one on October 25th, and the other on November 15th. Here's what to expect:
October 25th - Dragonflight Pre Patch 1
The reintroduction of talent trees. The more complex approach to character builds is back, with players now being able to switch up their loadouts on the fly without the need to be in a rested area. Loadouts can also be saved, imported, and exported, and beginners can choose from a pre-made Starter Build if the new-yet-old system feels a little overwhelming.
Rogues, Mages, and Priests will now be available to all races.
UI customization. Players can now personalise their HUD and UI to suit their specific needs, without the need for mods.
Plenty of quality of life improvements.
November 15th - Dragonflight Pre Patch 2
The Dracthyr Evoker arrives. Players who have an affinity for all things draconic will find their prayers answered as they will finally be able to assume the role of WoW's first ever class and race combo. Evokers can be healers or damage dealers and switch between human or draconic forms. A perfect choice for the fickle.
New Zone: The Forbidden Reach. The newest zone from which the new hero class can begin their adventure.
New Dungeon: Uldaman: Legacy of Tyr.
New in-game Events: Primal Storms. Players will begin their beef with the Primalists, with new quests and world events heralding the release of Dragonflight.
All in all, it's exciting times in Azeroth over the next month. But as people continue to wonder whether Dragonflight is worth the hype, be sure to let us know your experiences with the newest content as it releases.
