As we head towards EVE Online 2023, a community video highlights just how destructive 2022 has been.
EVE Online Players Caused 810 Trillion ISK of Destruction This Year
As EVE uprises through the final year of its teenagedom, the Capsuleers that inhabit its vast cosmos have been very busy. Busy doing what you may ask? Shooting, killing, and exploding things mostly. We've got some stats straight from CCP about just how much shooting, killing, and exploding they've been doing and boy is it something.
Set course Capsuleers, it's going to be a wild ride.
Since January 2022, EVE Online players have played an impressive 184,934,779 hours. But that's a fact that pales in comparison to the amount of NPCs that they've slain - 1,455,957,772. With Factional Warfare having just been cranked up a gear in the Uprising expansion, we can probably expect EVE Online 2023 to be even bloodier.
And then we get to the stat we all crave most...how much destruction has been caused throughout New Eden. The answer? 810,755,757,143,624 ISK worth of damage.
CCP shared these stats and more in their annual community spotlight video. You can watch it below to discover the top warlords, the most popular items, the total number of wormhole jumps, how many pods have been destroyed, who the legends of lowsec are, what the bloodiest battles were, who earned the most kills, and plenty more. You can watch it below.
As they enter their 20th year, all signs point towards EVE Online 2023 being bigger, badder, and bloodier. And we can't wait to discover what that looks like. As always, you can expect us to be here every step of the way with our monthly EVE Online interviews, our Stories of EVE, and updates on the most impressive goings on in New Eden.
In the meantime, don't forget to check out the return of the annual Winter Nexus event.
Set course Capsuleers, it's going to be a wild ride.
