Crafty Creations: From Fan-Made Cutscene to Minecraft Movie?

There is certainly no shortage of creativity on display in the world of building blocks that is Minecraft. Its core mechanics act as a siren's call for visionaries looking to create something truly awesome. But our latest Crafty Creation proves that if you give players enough materials, they'll push the boundaries of what's possible when given free reign.
Most of our Crafty Creations are impressive feats of artisanship in which players have taken the materials provided in-game and moulded them into something beautiful. But recently, a Reddit user by the name of McEMau5 created something a little more complex: a full cutscene in Minecraft.
By harnessing the power of the Minecraft command block, McEMau5 manipulated his 'actors' to walk and speak, as the 'camera' is simply the player in spectator mode. The scene is triggered by turning the page of a particular book and depicts three characters, Idus, Estrea and Usim as they speak of being summoned to some clandestine cause.
Once the scene ends, McEMau5 graces us with a tour of the cogs-and-gears behind the curtain. Or in this case, beneath the ground. A complex series of command blocks complete with a storyboard is laid out in the subterranean control room, the intricacy of which prompting one Redditor to ask just thow long the process took. To which McEMau5 responded: just a couple of hours.
The mysterious plot has left other Reddit users clamouring for more - which luckily, McEMau5 has confirmed is en route. Will we see the first in-house Minecraft movie as laid out by individual cutscenes? At least we now know that such a thing is possible thanks to the impressive efforts of this fastidious producer and their masterful use of the humble Minecraft command block.
