The long-awaited Lost Ark Machinist and the most terrifying raid to date released today.
Iron Man & Clowns? The Lost Ark Machinist and Kakul-Saydon Legion Raid Have Landed
Right on cue, an exciting new Lost Ark update has landed, bringing with it two highly anticipated additions to Western audiences. Namely, the Lost Ark Machinist Advanced Class and the Kakul-Saydon Legion Raid, along with a slew of additional content and general updates.
First up, the Lost Ark Machinist is the fifth Gunner Advanced Class that will be joining such rootin', tootin' compatriots as the Deadeye, Gunslinger, Artillerist, and Sharpshooter. Only this particular Gunner is decidedly on the tech-heavy side.
The Machinist is armed to the teeth with machine guns, laser weapons, and a Drone. The Hypersync ability will also deck the tech-obsessed warrior out in a suit that is charged up by landing hits, and expended after doling out damage via high-tech abilities. Suffice to say, they're pretty reminiscent of one Tony Stark, and therefore a formidable addition to the battlefield.
But what's more frightening than a walking, talking arsenal of futuristic weapons? Clowns, obviously. Which is why our focus is on the long-awaited Kakul-Saydon legion raid, featuring the jester-from-your-nightmares, Kakul-Saydon, and his Midnight Circus.
A team of up to four players will be tasked with tackling three gates in this Legion Raid, facing off against the Mayhem Legion and their horrifying head honcho. To make matters worse, no revives are available mid-battle, and the Raid will feature a ton of new unique characteristics, abilities, and mechanics. So no resting on your laurels. Players must be Item Level 1475 to take on the Normal difficulty.
A new training feature has also been added to help players get to grips with the minigames found in the new Legion Raid. This can be accessed by speaking to Beatrice in Trixion.
For their efforts, players can get their hands on two new rewards: Mayhem Marks and Mayhem Trumpets, which can be exchanged for various rewards by visiting any Raid Exchange NPC and Set Gear Management NPC.
As usual, a blog post going through every new addition in detail was released ahead of the newt Lost Ark update, detailing everything from the Legion Raid itself to the minor bug fixes we can expect. But for anyone out there suffering from coulrophobia, it might be best to sit this one out.
