A recent Q&A confirmed the Mad World MMORPG release date has been pushed back… but only a little.
Mad World MMORPG Release Date Delayed But Q&A Gives Hope
Despite a stellar fan theory, Mad World obviously didn't release on December 7th. Will that stop us from jumping on fan theories with the utmost gusto in future? Of course not. But that's mainly because Jandisoft recently confirmed in a Q&A posted on the official site that the slated Mad World MMORPG release date was delayed, meaning there may still have been a semblance of truth to the theory. And that wasn't the only thing that the Q&A revealed.
Gruesome upcoming demonic MMO Mad World is on the cusp of release. According to the first answer in the Q&A, Jandisoft has already completed development and is delivering the final touches before launch. And of course, while everyone is itching to give it a spin, we're still firmly in the camp of allowing devs as much time as they need to ensure the game releases in the best possible state.
Other questions included the somewhat redundant but necessary "will the game be pay to win?", to which the answer was of course "no", and not-actual-questions like "the daily quiz feels like spam", for which Jandisoft apologized.
But among the most important take-homes were that Mad World will hopefully release on mobile a few months after the PC version, and will have optimized controls that "could be better than the PC version".
It was also confirmed that Mad World will be released on Steam. though whether it will release at the same time as the official website client remains to be seen. Those that bought a Founder's Pack, however, might be safer downloading straight from the official website as there are no guarantees that the perks will carry over to Steam.
Either way, as prospective players eagerly await the Mad World MMORPG release date, the official channels continuing to post updates and tidbits of grim lore have us feeling hopeful that Jandisoft means it when they say that a release is imminent. Here's hoping we have just weeks to wait.
