After eight months of exciting early access, a Mist Legacy release date has been revealed.

Mist Legacy, an indie fantasy MMORPG bringing a unique spin on a classic formula to the droves of disenfranchised gamers looking for something new, has just received a release date. And with a team of just four devs, rolling out a full MMORPG 11 months into early access is nothing to sniff at.
Storytelling, reputation system, distinctive art style, and in-depth lore that truly makes players feel as though they are playing out a fantasy novel.
Mist Legacy introduces classic fantasy MMORPG mechanics to a storybook setting. Players don't choose classes but instead hone the skills they wish to define their character. These skills will be integral to carrying out certain activities - exploring a particularly dense forest or rugged mountain range, for example, will require the right level of skill and equipment.
Fans of turn-based combat will feel right at home, with a combat system that allows teams of players to gang up on enemies and wield a highly specific fighting style, with five combat specializations that can be combined in thousands of ways. Likewise, crafting is another conduit to assert one's uniqueness as crafted items don't depend on blueprints, but instead the skills with which they were forged.
Perhaps most striking, however, are the storytelling, reputation system, distinctive art style, and in-depth lore that truly makes players feel as though they are playing out a fantasy novel in real-time. All features that have earned Mist Legacy a tight-knit community over the last eight months - including 46,000 playtesters.
Those that find their fancies suitably tickled by the title will be happy to know, then, that a Mist Legacy release date has just been officially announced - 13th September. However, players have been letting rip in the early access version of the game for eight months, and can still do so up until the final release.
Between now and then, the dev team will be finetuning the title, polishing the early game and balancing the end game to ensure that it is entirely fit for purpose once Mist Legacy goes gold.
