Something seems to be changing in Sea of Thieves next season. Collected voyages will expire.
Unique sea voyages expire at the end of the season
Developer Rare has not yet revealed anything about the content of the next season for Sea of Thieves, but it seems that there will be changes that will mean that you will no longer be able to accumulate voyages indefinitely. The team from Twycross has now announced this via the social media platform X.
When the tenth season ends in a few weeks, all special voyages, i.e. those that are spent on events or as compensation, will expire at the end of the season. This also applies to golden voyages that some of you buccaneers may have had in your inventory for years. In some cases, it is worth keeping these voyages to use them on a "Gold & Glory" weekend, for example. The reasons behind this decision are not known. It is possible that Rare is planning changes for the pirate game that make this procedure necessary or that there are simply too many players collecting their voyages.
Of course, Sea of Thieves is not missing out on Black Friday either. You can currently find numerous offers in the Pirate Emporium to stock up on the appropriate cosmetics. However, if you prefer real things, you can also save money in the official Rare Store. With the code "BLACKFRIDAY2023" you can get 30 percent off collector's items.
