Exciting new events, episodes, and voice actors join the free-to-play Star Trek MMO.

Star-studded Star Trek Online is getting even starrier with its latest update, entitled Stormfall. The free-to-play Star Trek MMO has a long history of netting big names in the Trekkie fandom. And the continuation of the STO story will see four actors from the beloved franchise lending their voices to some integral characters. Plus, there's a bunch of new content for players to sink their teeth into.

Stormfall will see players continue their journey into the Mirror Universe, wherein Captain Killy is attempting to reawaken a fearsome adversary. Two brand new featured episodes will see players and their allies attempt to put a stop to this nefarious plot, whilst a slew of new content will continue to keep this longstanding free-to-play Star Trek MMO fresh as a daisy. And yes, the new content is also entirely free.

Here's what's in store:

• Familiar Voices : Actors from new and classic Star Trek will be voicing four characters in this newest STO chapter. Including:
  • Kate Mulgrew ( Star Trek: Voyager ) as Prime Admiral Janeway and Terran Marshal Janeway
  • Mary Wiseman (Star Trek: Discovery) as Terran Captain Killy
  • Chase Masterson ( Star Trek: Deep Space Nine ) as Terran Admiral Leeta
  • Noah Averbach-Katz ( Star Trek: Discovery ) as Rae-Yeet
• Two Featured Episodes : Two episodes set to advance the gripping storyline include:
  • "Blueshift" - Captains must heed the call of Admiral Janeway to rescue Ilia from the Terran ESD with the help of former Terran Admiral Leeta and Terran Marshal Janeway.
  • "The Calling" - Terrans must use the planet of Pahvo to contact a powerful new nemesis with the help of Starfleet.
• Remastered Starfleet Tutorial : A new tutorial will provide prospective Captains with a smoother starting experience while adding new environments and interactions with the Borg and Admiral Janeway.
• TFO Rebuild : "Forged in Fire" is a reimagined "Assault on Terok Nor" in which players must assemble an assault team to halt Admiral Leeta in this five-player Task Force Operation.
• " Heart of the Storm" Special Event : Players can now unlock the Kuumarke Visionary Ground Set by playing through the various episodes and TFOs of the Mirror Universe storyline.

Also, to celebrate Stormfall, STO is releasing the snappily named Star Trek Artifact STO Edition Borg Cube ATX PC Case, which features an STO -engraved backplate, A-RGB lighting, a 5-inch forcefield monitor and hand-painted detailing delivered in a laser-engraved collectors crate.
