Uprising will deliver huge Factional Warfare improvements alongside new ships, cosmetics, and visual overhauls.
Uprising Expansion to Seriously Ramp-Up EVE Online Factional Warfare
A brand new narrative-heavy expansion will be hitting EVE Online this autumn, with a special focus on Factional Warfare improvements. With it comes a thrilling trailer replete with stellar visuals and characters that look like something out of Cyberpunk 2077. And as the expansion's name, Uprising, might suggest - there are some monumental changes afoot.
With tensions between cosmic Empires at an all-time high, it was about time for that particular powder keg to blow. Which means it's time for capsuleers to pick a side as Uprising lights the fuse, putting the future of New Eden in the hands of the players once more.
Key features of EVE's 2022 expansion will include sweeping Factional Warfare improvements and a smattering of new ships, offering even more diversity while existing ships are rebalanced. Plus, capsuleers can hoist the colours as corporation and alliance logos can now be added to their vessels as part of a new Heraldry feature.
EVE's Factional Warfare improvements begin in Uprising with a rework of complexes and a new advantage functionality. Incentives to join and fight for a chosen faction, more opportunities to contribute to the war effort, and new events will further enhance the overall experience. And that's just the tip of the iceberg, as further Factional Warfare improvements are set to arrive in Q1 of 2023.
Heraldry, meanwhile, will see corporation and alliance logos splashed across the hulls of many ships, with more customization options including citadel SKINs and holograms in the pipeline. Upwell hangers also get a touch-up as EVE ramps up the visual immersion without skimping on undocking speed.
Uprising is set to release in November, but a string of updates will keep capsuleers occupied until then as detailed in the roadmap visual above. And as the plot thickens in-game, now's a good time to keep your eyes open and your wits about you as you decide which team to throw your weight behind.
