Though they're not typically known for their impeccable fashion sense in other forms of media, the wizards of the Spiral are an especially snappy bunch. Which is why KingsIsle has decided to introduce new content focussed on Wizard 101 outfits in the form of Rate My Stitch.
The days of traversing the Spiral in your finest garments hoping to find vindication in a passing compliment are over. Now, players can strut their stuff on a catwalk and earn real ratings from other players before joining a leaderboard, where they can prove beyond all doubt that they are, in fact, the most modish mage in town.
Climbing the leaderboard confers more than just bragging rights, however. Because the highest-rated Wizard 101 outfits will earn rewards in the form of Stitch Tokens, which can be redeemed to stitch or unstitch a piece of gear for free. There will also be special Rate My Stitch events that will task players with putting together an outfit based on a particular theme, where top scorers will be given the opportunity to earn shiny new gear.
The new fashion competition comes as part of a larger update which includes plenty of other content for players to get stuck into. The Challenge Mode, for instance, allows players to change the difficulty of a sigiled encounter after clearing it for the first time, earning greater rewards for higher difficulties.
New Beastmoon event forms have also arrived in the form of the Life Krokomummy and the Death Elf. While new Beastmoon event rewards include the Dekathalon Claws and Beastmoon Draconian Gear Set.
The Night Mire Swamp Gauntlet is the latest gauntlet for wizards to run. In this Bayou-based caper, players must face off against swamp creatures in their investigation of the nefarious Dr. Neaux's "hair-raising" scheme. A brand new gear set and 7 collectible critters await the victors.
Finally, the latest PvP Battle Pass season has arrived, bringing several new tiered rewards for those that dabble in a little PvP action. These will include several pet elixirs and the Epic medals needed for crafting.
