From VR to Thomas the Tank Engine to Arachnophobia mode, the fan-made Hogwarts Legacy mods have arrived!
Crafty Creations: 5 Magical Hogwarts Legacy Mods
Though it has only been available to the general public for just a few days, the tenacious modding community has wasted no time in bringing Hogwarts Legacy mods to the magical masses. Unsurprisingly, they range from the sublime to the ridiculous. So for this month's Crafty Creations, we thought we'd highlight five of the most outstanding.
Pale Skin Mod
================
Talking of wasting no time, players' intentions to wantonly fire off the infamous killing curse, Avada Kedavra, has already become a meme. But channeling one's inner Voldemort met a stumbling block when people discovered that they couldn't faithfully recreate his pallid skin tone in the character creator.
The Paler and Darker Skins for Player Character Hogwarts Legacy mod helps to rectify this. As well as facilitate more faithful representations of players' IRL melanin levels, of course.
VTuber Paintings
===================
The question of "what would happen if muggles were given access to Hogwarts" was swiftly answered when modders decided to hang moving images of their favorite VTubers in place of the boring, dusty old portraits of witches and wizards from yesteryear. Are we surprised that the Moving Frames - Anime VTubers - Hololive mod was available on launch? Of course not.
Arachnophobia Mod
====================
For many gamers, arachnophobia is no joke. Which is why it's unfortunate that Hogwarts Legacy is rife with eight legged monstrosities that can easily turn the wizarding world into something out of a nightmare.
One of the best-received Hogwarts Legacy mods helps to alleviate these concerns by replacing all of Hogwarts' spider models with boxes.
VR Mod
=========
For Harry Potter fans, being enrolled at Hogwarts is already a dream come true. But Flat2VR helped to double-down on the magic of exploring Hogwarts' hallowed halls by immediately working on a virtual reality mod to maximize that immersion. The Hogwarts Legacy VR mod hasn't been released just yet, but Flat2VR has promised it "soon".
Thomas the Tank Engine
=========================
And finally comes the gold-standard of all mods: the inevitable shoehorning of Thomas the Tank Engine. The smiley yet oddly terrifying little blue steam engine has been modded into Hogwarts Legacy to replace the player's humdrum Moon Trimmer Broom as they soar above the grounds of Hogwarts. Forget the Firebolt, and feast your eyes on ThomasBroom.
