Lost Ark Legion Raids are the most challenging part of postgame content - read this to survive them.
Lost Ark Legion Raids Explained
Lost Ark Legion Raids are a relatively new addition to the Western version of the Korean ARPG. And as postgame challenges replete with lore and loot, there's every reason for returning players to dive in and reap the rewards. But Smilegate will be damned if they don't put you through the ringer first. These PvE challenges arguably pack the biggest punch for any seasoned Lost Ark vet.
Good thing we're here to soften the blow. Here's a Lost Ark Legion Raid guide for new players, or returning ones who have been too timid to tackle them thus far.
What are Lost Ark Legion Raids?
Lost Ark Legion Raids are instances that allow eight players in two teams of four to tackle a series of dungeons with one big bad boss waiting at the end. They can be tackled in Normal or Hard modes, but only once per week on either difficulty.
One raid per week may seem a little stingy at first. However, Legion Raids are more of a marathon than a sprint, comprising multiple stages that end with gates that lead into the next stage. Players are given the option to dip out after completing any of these stages, and can jump back in later that week either with friends or with a new group of raiders that share their progress. Lonely Legion Raiders can find these groups via the Legion Raid section of the Group Finder.
And at least solo players have their NPC friends at their back. A selection of three Sidereals can be unleashed in the midst of battle, each with unique abilities that can be instigated by the raid leader. Sidereals can be unleashed once the skill gauge has been filled by meeting certain conditions in battle.
So far there are just two Lost Ark Legion Raids: Valtan and Vykas. Both require item levels upwards of 1415, and the next Legion Raid to be released, Kakul-Saydon, will no doubt require an even higher item level. All players will also need to have completed the "Notice: Legion Raids" guide quest before taking them on.
Then, to the victor, the spoils. The rewards for beating a Legion Raid are plentiful, comprising such coveted items as Legendary and Relic gear crafting materials as well as Gold, Enhancement Materials, Relic Accessories, Ability Stones and Cards. And of course, defeating Lost Ark Legion Raids on higher difficulties will bestow better rewards.
Lost Ark Legion Raids provide ample challenge to those Arkesians that are looking for more to do once the main quests are over. So get practicing, because there's plenty more in the pipeline. Keep an eye on the official Lost Ark news page for the next big update.
