In Astra: Knights of Veda, the land of Planis once blossomed in full splendor. But thanks to the tyrannical rule of the mad King Magnus, this once magnificent realm is slowly fading into oblivion. But the inhabitants of the land did not want to accept their fate and raised an army to put an end to Magnus' rule. What they did not expect, however: They all ran to their doom, for a mighty tree of death rose from the ground and made them eat the flesh of their fellow soldiers. To counteract this calamity, the goddess Veda rose up and came down to earth. She chose a new hero to free the land from this curse and that is you.

To confront this challenge in the 2D role-playing game, you'll travel through a medieval fantasy world, where a different danger lurks at every corner. You'll have to deal with undead as well as with other beasts. In addition, powerful bosses await you in various dungeons. Fortunately, you won't be alone on the road. In the course of the adventure, you'll assemble a powerful squad. You'll use the classic archetypes that you know from other role-playing games. Accordingly, you can rely on the support of a healer in your party or use a tank to take as much damage as possible. However, you'll have various damage dealers and other supporters at your disposal. The trick is to find the right mix between the different classes. In total, there can be four members in a group, and you can even play in co-op with friends.

The combat in this game is very different from what you know from other genre representatives. Instead of turn-based battles, it's like a beat 'em up. You attack your opponents in real time with weapons, different abilities and several dodging options.

On the other hand, if you need a break from the adventure and the story, you can put your skills to the test in a real-time PvP arena. You can compete alone or as a team. You can always check your current standing on a ranking list.
